Hundreds of enthusiastic canine competitors descended on the Topsfield Fair in Massachusetts for the Mutt Derby in 1953. The event was a hilarious and heartwarming spectacle as dogs from all shapes and sizes, from bulldogs and beagles to shepherds and shih tzus, gathered together to try their luck at the Mutt Derby. In addition to the derby, the fair also featured a variety of other activities, including a best-dressed pup parade, a cutest pup contest, and an agility course.
